Some problems I'm having and maybe its because of my PC.
Current PC specs:
P4 - 2.6 gig Northbridge - 1 gig memory - nVidia 6600GTS256 - WinXp Pro
Firstly, FS2004 works flawlessly btw, with everything set to maximum.
Secondly, I more or less followed the directions in the sticky, but if thats the only way then FSX is not worth owning

Now after I installed FSX Deluxe and have the settings on "Medium High" all seems to work ok, except for the very busy cities where there is a lot of scenery but thats understandable.
Otherwise everything else seems pretty good considering my slightly lower end PC.
I find most the FS2004 Aircraft and Scenery works ok as well when transfering it over.
Now comes my problems...
Next I installed SP1 and things somewhat slowed down a bit but still was reasonable, except some of my old FS2004 aircraft cockpits suddenly ran out of guages and several aircraft lost their sound, anyway that only happened to a few so we proceeded.
Next I installed the Acceleration Expansion Pack.... disaster struck...
With some FS2004 Airport scenery, you now start off next to the runway, on the grass so to speak.
When taking off on any airport, the plane veers off to the right badly, to the point its almost impossible to control it.
If you now stop the plane, line it up etc, then try another take off, it now veers slightly to the left.
Once in the air, things seem ok except it seems the FPS has slowed down a hell of a lot.
Landing is a nightmare as its as if the runway is made of soap and you slip and slide all over the place.
I tried this on several different types of aircraft, but mainly use the Mooney as a reference.
I then proceeded to uninstall the Acceleration Pack and the veering off to the right and soapy runways went away although not all together.
I see there is no way of uninstalling SP1, even in the Control Panel

I also see SP2 is basically the same as the Acceleration Pack as they say you can only install one or the other.
Anyways seeing I uninstalled the Acceleration Pack and I got SP2 on a CD with my PC Pilot mag I installed it and my slippery runways and veering to the right was back.
It would seem my only option is to completely uninstall everything and start from scratch without any packs at all.
Anyone ever had this or any idea's why this is happening ?
