Are there any updates out there on the "J" model?  It would not work right with FlightSim X.

Simshed.  It worked great with FS2004, but from what I have read here a lot of those birds don't work right with X.  What is going on at Microsoft?!  They come out with a new FS and it doesn't work right with older version aircraft.  They come out with Vista for windows and it does not work right with a lot of ealier programs.  I recently bought a new computer with Vista (going from XP) and I have to say that I really don't like it.  Anyhow, I'm off subject a little.
I have looked on here for new aircraft for X, but it seems all current aircraft were made earlier for 2002 and 2004 FS.  I have been a C-130 (herk) mech for over 23 years and enjoyed flying it on sim.  Maybe I'll have to go back to using FS2004.
Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm sorry: double mistake. Thought of the RAAF but instead it's the RNZAF...

Here's the link

I tried to put my plane in FSX by copying and pasting it into SimObjects/Planes folder, but when I start FSX the plane will not show up.  I'm not sure why as the instructions said to simply paste it into that folder.  It's a little frustrating.

FS11 ???   Haven't heard of that one.

Has the C130-folder a panel folder included? That's the most common mistake I had in the beginning... (don't know if FS2004 requires one, I'm new to flying starting with FSX)

If you're familiar with installing addon aircraft to previous versions of MSFS you should have no problems installing them to FSX. Installation of aircraft to FSX is basically the same as for FS9 or any other version of MSFS except that the default Aircraft directory no longer exists. Install the aircraft to the FSX\SimObjects\airplanes folder instead.

Aircraft originally intended for FS9 might have the panel and/or sound aliased to FS9 default aircraft no longer included in FSX. For example; the b737_400. Aircraft without a panel will not be listed on the selection menu. It's a simple matter to fix this by re-aliasing Panel.cfg to a similar FSX default flyable aircraft like the b737_800. Providing they're installed correctly that should add them to the menu but I can't guarantee they will be fully compatible.

This is all covered in the FSX installation tute in the Simviation Help section. http://www.simviation.com/fsxaircraftinstall.htm
