Hi,

I downloaded the FSX F-18 added yesterday. With SP1&2 I get a VC with black surroundings (see picture).

Thanks for your advice in solving the dark mystery...

Maybe we need to swap details to see what may be causing your problem.

Try to give as much info as you can.  OS, vid card, machine specs, any big time addons such as environment enhancers, etc added,  etc. Any payware? Running on FSX default settings? All other aircraft OK? Something is causing that, just a question of finding what it is.

I  notice you can see through the HUD. Maybe a clue there?

Hi again,

Hardware:
Laptop Dell Inspiron 9400 (2006), XP, memory 1.024mb, 2gb virtual, ATI mobility Radeon X1400 card.

Settings FSX:
No addon's except for the plane, no special software running in the background, just standard FSX settings.

Could it be the filteringsettings in the displaymenu, aliasing?
Screenresolution: 1400x900
FPS: 20
No lens flare, no light bloom, no adv. anim. Scenery: medium high, traffic medium low, global texture res: very high

Indeed, the lookthrough HUD is strange.
