Odd Cockpit View

Postby cuff » Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:46 pm

Hi
Hoping someone can help me with this.  I installed the Boeing 727-200 by Alrot into my FSX. I am using vista 64bit with a quad core cpu and an nvidia BFG 8800gts 512mb oc card.  The plane looks great and I'm sure will fly great.  I just have this odd cockpit texture.  I am not flying using DX10 preview.
Thanks
Regards  Ernest

Is this an FS9 aircraft ported across to FSX.  If so it is a rendering problem caused by the changes in SP2.  Maybe Alrot has re-worked those textures and he might let you have the fix.

In FSInsider Phil Taylor refers to an application and an approach to fix these texture problems, but it is totally beyond my competence to explain.

I have just stopped using old ported aircraft unless the makers have fixed the problem.

Thank you for your reply.  I'll check out fs insider.
Yes, this is an a/c that was made for fs9 and ported over to fsx.
As far as I know, there are no updated textures for it but I'll keep looking.

Question: do you have this problem also with the 2D cockpit?

It is a texture thing.  FSX just doesn't seem to like it.
