Progressive Taxi

It's been a while since I posted on this site. I've been really busy flying around different parts of the world and am presently building up Australia as one of my developing projects. Still I'm not here to push Oz but if you haven't tried it there's some cracking scenery and textures to be had for this beautiful country.
Anyway to the point, I know the purists are going to knock me on this but I loathe the progressive taxi facility in FSX and FS9 is not much better. Yes before anyone comes up with the comment I can always turn it off and many times I do but occasionally when I want to get 'up' quickly I have it on. Does anyone know if there are any alternative effects/textures to be had for progressive taxi, like maybe dots or pulsating lights? As usual much obliged for any information.

best regards   Crocker

I agree its pretty crude, but I for one have no interest in using the plates and learning the taxiways of airports I may never return to.  So I turn on progressive taxi with its great ugly arrows.   If the 'active' taxiways could have centreline buried lights as in the RW it would be fantastic.

Is there an add-on, or is there an enthusiast who could do this for us?

And I endorse FTX and Visual Australis add-ons as making this great country much more realistic to fly over.  Because of its size (the same as the lower 48) and sparse population, aviation is a key player here.
