Weird shapes while flying

Hi, I'm running FSX with SP1 and 2 on a laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 and 1,96 gb virtual memory. I have to admit that installing SP1&2 improved performance a lot. However, now I have an annoying issue at hand: after flying for a couple of minutes (less than 2), it seems as if the screens are clogged up. I get big strange shapes all over the screen which makes flying impossible (I can upload a screenshot if somebody can explain me how to.... thanks). They come and go. I've tried changing the FPS and many other settings, but nothing seems to work.
Anyone out there with some advice.

To upload a screenshot, click on "upload images" on the top of the page and follow the instructions.
Those peaks most likely appear because your graphic card is overheating.

Hi there,
Sorry for the size of the image... looked smaller when I compressed it to 36kb.
I'm glad to hear it could be a hardware issue. I'll try flying when laptop is cooled off to see if problem pops up after a longer while.
If this is the case, I'll go and fly outside....
Thank you.

What is your OS?
If Vista, instead of double clicking on the icon to start up FSX, right click, Run as Admin...see if that helps...
This is just me thinking but by any chance do you have G-Effects on?
This does look like a hardware prob though...
