FSX graphics card error. "does not meet minimum re

I'm suddenly getting this error with fsx sp1 (and expansion pack):

"This graphics card does not meet minimum
requirements for shader support. This product requires a geForce3/Radeon8500
class or better graphics card. Flight Simulator will now exit."

As far as i can tell...  the reason why this may be occurring is because
i've added a second video card to my system (geforce 7600)... my primary is
an 8600

Any thoughts?

Anyone running two video cards and able to run the simulator?

Thanks

That seems strange as the 7600 has up to Shader 3 if my memory serves me correctly.
Maybe try swapping the cards around if they are both PCI-X cards as these slots are addressed numerically from left to right.
Maybe also check your BIOS settings if it has a Primary option.

Actually.. i just tried something.. i disabled the geforce 7600 in the device manager and the game ran fine.. slightly disheartening..

These are pci-e x16 cards..

I do have memory remap enabled in the bios.. not sure if this matters, but it was the only way i could get x64 vista to run.

This is what I was getting at.
Thats why I said swap the cards around as the 7600 probably is a lower address than the 8600 thus being seen as priority 1.

Since the AGP days everyone has a tendency to use a slot nearest the CPU for the first card which is actually the higher address and lower priority :)

I guess i could also switch the primary setting in the bios.. but i have a feeling my dual monitors will get flipped as well.. ill give this a try and see how she goes..
