Flight Planning Question

Does anyone know how to change the default runway in the FSX flight planner? If I am doing an ILS on RW 8L and the planner defaults to 4R, ATC clears me for 4R. I need to move the runway in the planner to 8L but it won't let me. Any help is appreciated.

When you actually fly it, you can request to land on a different runway while you're on approach.

I am using Pro Flight 2000 Emulator and it uses the Flight Planner generated by FSX (it will only clear you to the filed runway). Any ideas on changing the runway on the flight plan editor?

FS doesn't utilize all runways at airports, just one or two parellel runways. No matter what you do, ATC won't give you a runway that FS doesn't use. For example, KMSP has 12/30L, 12/30R, and 4/22, but FS never uses 4/22.

Once you started making requests of ATC (either for flight clearance or approach clearance) and after ATC assigns you a runway (for either take-off or landing), I thought you could request a different runway and that it could be any runway at the airport. Was this incorrect?
If I get the time, I will try and check this out later tonight and get back to you.
