Well, I haven't seen one of these for a while, so let's give it a go again, shall we?

What are the coolest mistakes, easter eggs, etc. for FSX?  I thinking of the Arkansas hole  FS9 for example...

Well, as I learned this last week, if you fly under the decks of the carriers, you can fly through their insides without crashing.  See my thread HERE.

I would say the ability to fly through one side of a carrier and out the other is a bit of a goof!  But, what makes it even better is that a bit of the inside of the carrier is modeled.

Does this count?

I don't think even that you'll ever see that detail in a mesh, Tileproxy, isn't it?

Yes.. Its a different way to fly FSX. It reqires you wait about 10-15min while the flight loads the textures and converts them to BMP from the internet off of google earth or other sat map providers.. if set up right and the resolution is available it will land 30cm resolution photo-real textures in the exact location they should be relative to the real world. They are photo textures though so no autogen, no shadows, etc..

Its freeware http://edtruthan.com/tileproxy/tutorial/ and takes a bit of learning to use. City areas are not that impressive uless you are up high but places like mountains and canyons... awesome

...in FS 2004, that is how you are able to park on the lower decks, it was designed that way...;)...!

(It works with the default A/C Carrier parked just off Golden Gate Bridge, in the Pacific Ocean).

Step Two: READ THE README AND THE MANUAL!  This is not a simple program to install, but it's not really difficult either.  You just need to read up on it.

If that doesn't work, here's a decent tutorial on it...
