Can't seem to disable joystock twist/rudder....

Postby skunker » Mon Mar 03, 2008 5:58 pm

I can't seem to disable the joystick twist function for my LOGITECH EXTREME 3D PRO joystick! I have "autorudder" turned off and rudder sensitivity is all the way down in the controls menu. What else do I need to do?!

no wonder my flying has been wacko...the stick conteracts with the pedals!

1) Go to your FSX Settings Menu.

2) Select the Controls button (upper right corner).

3) In the Settings - Control menu, select the Control Axes tab.

4) In the Control Axes tab, under Controller type (pop-down menu) select your joystick (in this case, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro).

5) Go to the Assignment list in the lower half of the Control Axes menu tab (right below where you just selected your joystick type).

6) Find Rudder Assignment and click on it.

7) With Rudder Assignment selected, click on the Delete Joystick Assignment button near the bottom of the menu screen.

This should stop the twist-axis of your joystick from controlling the rudder.  If you have any more questions or need a screen shot to help with the above instructions, just ask.

Good luck,
Darrin
