Top of the day to all. I have a microsoft force feed back 2 joy stick its about 3 to 4 years old. Out of the blue all my air crafts are going around in a left circle when taxing. I look at the rudder at the back and notice whenever i twist it to the left and let go it will return center but if i twist it to the right it stays there it does not return to the center and if i try to center it it just hang to the right. i tried to calibrate but that did not fix it...Any suggestion please?

I had this same problem in FS9 with my Saitek X-45. When I re-installed it fixed the problem. Then I moved to FSX and have not had the problem since. Hopefully there is a better fix for you out there. I'm curious too on the chance that it happens to me again. All I could figure is that an add-on corrupted something. Maybe you've had a recent add-on you could try eliminating? I'm sure there's someone smarter then me in here that will help you though. ;)

Well, that's not going to cause it. Sorry I'm no help here apparently.  ::) Have you tried getting the newest possible drivers for your joystick?

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Game Controllers/Properties...

Wiggle your joystick, throttle, buttons, etc, and see what happens...;)...!

Any malfunction will show there..!

Might read through this...

Newest driver I found was from 2000. You can find it here, but probably don't need it if it is that old;

My brother had one of those joysticks, and ended up breaking down and buying a new Saitek from Walmart for $30 or so. Don't remember what model it was. Guess he was having troubles getting it to function properly with XP.

Regarding Drivers...

I think the Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick is no longer supported.

I had one in 1998 (

Bruce,

If this is a USB joy stick then shut off your PC and then uplug the stick.  Plug the stick into an unused USB port and leave it for a minute or two.  If you have more than one unused port do this once in at least two ports.  After you have done this then leave the stick unplugged, turn on your PC and after it has booted then plug your stick in.

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder that I use to have to do this all the time on my last computer, not so much the one that I have now, but I still have to do it once in a great while.  Back when it all started Microsoft Tech Support said that it had something to do with built up static, sounded like BS to me, but it worked.

Hope that this helps you.

If you get the Saitek pro flight set up, including rudder pedals, do not connect the rudder pedals direct to the PC like I did at first....daisy chain it through the yoke. The PC works fine for a while and then crashes big style....once I got over that hurdle, I have to say I`m very pleased with it.
