New to FSX, former private pilot license (1973), willing to learn and wanna fly sim jets.  (Yes!)

However: Loaded FSX, played a few missions and crashed a few planes.  Tried to load my game today and got a NEW strange message:

"This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for shader support.  This product requires feForce3/Radeon 8500 class or better graphics card.
Flight Simulator will now exit."

Which it does.

I check my computer on Nvidia just after I loaded and it passed all tests, enough memory, cards, etc.  I downloaded Service Pack 1 onto a clean program, then downloaded Service Pack 2.  Yeah, okay, i changed a few settings on the graphics, but the game played okay yesterday.

Can anyone help?  Much appreciated--in advance!  Thanx!   ;D

I received an excellent reply from MicroSoft with the same diagnostic analysis.  The technician suggested I uninstall Service Pack 2.  I did and the program works!!  :)  I'm still a bit confused as to why it should work with a video card that's less than minimal requirements but I'm pleased as punch.
I don't know if this information will help anyone but there it is.

I had the exact same problem when I installed Acceleration.  Once I unstalled Acceleration, it worked fine.  Unfortunately for me, I have a laptop so I have to wait until I get a new computer before I can use the update.
