Hi all,

Take a look here:

This is a freeware addon for FSX that will generate thermals in a clever way (not random) in the FSX terrain, depending on area and slopes. Haven't tried it yet, just discovered on another forum so I thought about forwarding the information here :)

I used to use Cumulus! for previous MSFS's and it is the best way to generate thermals in FS in my opinion.

You can make a very realistic sky using it, I have used the old .bgl's in FSX and they work, but the clouds they create can look terrible.

I'm going to check this new one out, Thanks!

While the included thermals in FSX work, they are too sparse and not realistic enough. I wonder if there is a way to switch them off ?
