This has been happening for a while now and I am really at a loss, although it didn't always happen.

Any time I'm in a jet plane that has 3 or more engines (747, DC-10, A340, etc.), there is a big lag when switching between outside views and cockpit views. The lag has been anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

I uninstalled and re-installed FSX to no avail. Service packs seem to have no effect either way.

Has anyone else seen this before?

It is probably caused by using high polygon models. They demand much more out of your graphics card and memory. Simpler models happen much faster.
There isn't much you can do.
