Economy at Wattisham Army EGUW

What is this - I wonder.

At Wattisham Army Air Field near Ipswitch, UK the Control Tower and offices are in the middle of the runway. The surrounding land has been sold off. So, less walking for the passengers, no tiresome taxiing - just land and stop!!
