Has anyone tried the fsx version of "VOZ" I tried the fs9 version but could never get it to work correctly. As it is a large download I dont want to clutter up the scenery with the same problems as I had in fs9

Yes I have it, and it is a great improvement in certain areas - such as around the Gold Coast.  It incorporates a number of add-ons that were available as individual downloads including John Ross' Coffs Harbour, Lismore - and maybe the Gold Coast is his, but it attempts to provide a much more realistic coastline with high rise buildings.  But there's much more, from right across Australia.

Like most I am hanging out for the payware FTX which is going to be a radical re-working of the terrain and autogen.  I saw it at the flight sim conference on the Gold Coast and it is fabulous.  Check out the Orbx site.

So start with the freeware and then go on to the payware when it is available.

The default for Australia outside of Sydney is inaccurate and horrible.  All brown desert - and as you know the Australian arid and semi arid country has a vast range of colours and textures.

:D  I installed it and thought it was great.  It could be just my setup but I did take a slight hit in performance for the area.

Thanks all. It does sound a lot better than the fs9 version. It was full of bugs and never did work for me.And it gave me all kinds of problems trying to clean it out of the computer. In the end it took a total replacement of fs9.
