I need help!

Postby pelu1331 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 12:41 pm

Ok,  I'm new to the whole adding aircraft to flight simulator.  I have Flight Simulator X,  the normal one,  not deluxe.  I tried to upload a    c-17 into the game and it came out beautifully,  exept the gauges do not work.  I can see the panel,  but no gauges.  The readme  says something about moving the .gau files into the default gauges folder,  but i tried that and it didnt work.  Can anybody help me out??

This also happened when I tried to upload an Airbus a380,  and a jet,  a F-16 or something like that.

Thanks guys....

The problem is that the aircraft is for FS2004 and not for FSX. While it is true some aircraft from fs2004 will work fine in FSx more do not than do, and like you discovered its the gauges that do not work correctly. About all you can do is try to find gauges that will work in fsx
In the case of a airbus you could alias the panel to the default airbus.
Or just copy the entire panel folder of the default airbus over to the other airbus and over write. 8-)

oh,   so FS2004 aircraft that require me to do the whole .gau thing probably won't work in FSX then...  i see... thank you....    IF you know of any database or something of the sort that specializes in FSX aircraft let me know then.   THANKS!!

So all I have to do is do a Copy/Paste of the Panel folder of the Airbus A320 into the Airbus A380 folder??  Will that work?
