I Have Finally Unlocked The Grumman Goose& Maule

I have unlocked the code to allow a user to fly the Grumman Goose, Maule, Piper Cherokee, And MD- 83. I have tested extensively and everything runs fine. I guess I should have said this is for FSX standard with SP1 installed. If you would like me to send you the patches message me or E-Mail me.

Care to elaborate?

What code are you talking about?

The Goose and Maul have no lock code. The Piper and MD are AI aircraft and only require a panel to make them available to the user.

What unlock code would you need or do you have?

An by the way, how did you get FSX deluxe aircraft into FSX standard.

I would really like to know

I hope JTD0585 knows that SimV has no tolerance for piracy and the likes. JTD0585 can you please explain what exactly you are talking about?

If you mean that you figured out how to make the AI flyable, we understand. But what are you talking about by saying the following...
If you would like me to send you the patches message me or E-Mail me.

Your treading on very thin ice here. There are two versions for a reason, they are different prices, they have different objects in them. By "cracking" the code for the deluxe planes you have effectively stolen something. Those were meant for those who paid for Deluxe.

Also I feel you should elaborate, there was no code for the planes, either you got the right files or you didn't. The only what you could have made them fully available is by taking it from another persons version and placed it into your own.

I am waiting for an answer and this thread is not going to go away, so please tell me what unlocks you have performed

Settle down. No need to get your bowels in an uproar. I suspect that AI Only versions of all these aircraft are included with FSX Standard Edition. It's not difficult to modify them to make them Player flyable. Of course, they won't be to the same quality as proper flyable types. People have been doing this since the early days of CFS1 & there are updated files or "patches" posted on this site to make it easy.

Your right I guess I should not have said the words code or patches. What I meant was that I modified the aircraft.cfg files for the aircraft in question  and also renamed the .air file by reducing the name in length ie: Grumman_Goose_G. And as for this being stealing, if Microsoft did not want it to be used they could have written the code a whole lot better to thwart a simple name change and .cfg modification. I don't feel this is hurting anybody.

No need to settle down and no need to ask me or anyone else to because no one here is expressing anything that would indicate they are upset

And I understand how AI planes are used but they do not need to be 'unlocked'

Now it is possible the choice of words was not well presented however since we have had people come into the forums out of the blue in the past and post 'unlock' options there is nothing wrong with requesting a complete explanation as to what the OP is referring to and how it was done.

I appreciate the response but please be advised, it is illegal to share or send original files. The EULA does not allow original FSX file to be shared between users.

Hi Nick - I'm not sure exactly what 'files' you mean. If you mean complete FS or CFS files being uploaded - as in whole aircraft - well it's been done 1000's of times since 1998 by all 100 of users & developers.

Whole CFS aircraft - virtually all of them - have been 'converted' for FS2002 & 4. 1000's of aircraft include default gauges in the gauges folders. The .air files in 10's 1000's of files are either slightly modified or default MSFS .air files.  :)

Most addons are mods of default FS files in some way.

Never heard a word of complaint.

I would argue this is a very grey area, where common sense & respect reigns. It's also a question of where MS draws the line - but getting into this in a big way could potentially open a can of worms that would be a reminder of the Peter Tishma/Papa Tango/Flightsim.com farce when they tried, & thankfully failed, to gain copyright on all airline logos.  ;)

unlocked the code
BAD choice of words there JTD!!  ;D

The Goose and Maule are. I wouldn't waste my time on the MD-83 or Piper Cherokee they hav3e only the most basic of textures. The Goose has 7 Textures all of a good quality. The Maule also has multiple of ok quality. They both fly excellent and that is what I am usually looking for in a flight sim aircraft.
