Hey every since I installed Accelerator, My Air Force 1 plane stopped have tire treads. From the side you can see it fine, but when ever you pan the camera, the tire treads stop being their. And before I added the add on, they were always their, now the only way you can tell that they are solid, is by taxing over snow, and it sticks to were the tread used to be.

As soon as I resize the 1024x768 pics, I'll show you what I mean after I get back from work.

This is before the upgrade, you can see the tire treads are their as the gear rotates.

And these are after the up grades:

This one you can see with the snow on it.

Any idea what might have happened?

You state this happened after you installed Accelerator? Did you men Acceleration, If so I would suggest you read the sticky at the top of this forum. It deals with how to insure a clean install of Acceleration. 8-)

Your model is probably not a genuine FSX SDK version, so you're "missing tire tread" issue is most likely a texture transparency problem.

Converting the relevant texture to DDS/DXT1 or DDS/DXT5 format may well solve the problem.

nothing to do with a clean install of acceleartion as this is a add-on aircraft it has no real relevence

as suggested above, the textures are not compatable with SP2!

why the Aces team changed format compatability is a friggin mystery to me!

So far this is the only plane that this does it on. After Sp1 it was fine, but after the Add on it was the only plane to do this, every thing else works fine.

In order to get the "DX10 Preview" working, they had to eliminate some of back-compatibility.  Basically, FSX+SP2 works much better if all textures are converted to DDS/DXTn format (where n=1 if no Alpha, n=5 if Alpha channel needed).
