How do you actually print screen in FSX?

I know the basics... hit print screen, paste, viola.... but in FSX it seems to not like that, the pasted version shows a black box where the game was. I think its something to do with the hardware rendering or something, its the same for trying to print screen in media player.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Cheers

The traditional Prnt Screen method should work for FSX but this might depend on your display settings, video card, drivers etc. There's so many variables now.
FSX has its own onboard screengrab feature. Try pressing the V key. In WinXP the shots are saved in BMP format to C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\My Pictures\Flight Simulator X Files. Not sure where they go in Vista.

Press "V"

Takes a BMP. and put's it in your pictures folder.
Of course, there's no guarantee that will give better results than the conventional method. I expect they both work on the same principle.

Well up until now I was using FRAPS to do my shots, but I'm not sure if using FRAPS is allowed by the monthly contests... so I wanted to find an alternative.
Cheers, I shall try pressing V
