Almost all of the fs9 aircraft repaints that I have installed work fine. However there are a couple that dont. the aircraft is there but no paint.They work in fs9, is there a tweak I can do to get them to show in fsx.

You have to check with DTXBmp does it has alpha chanel?, is it compress in dxt 1,2,or 3? see there are few models who were made in simple bmp32 wont work in fsx ,but i could be wrong about this.. do you have the link of one of these planes to see if I can fix them?

YES AL One of them is the dehavilland comet 4B by David Maltby. THE repaint is the RCAF paint by Ed DesRoches. It has a sentimental value to me as my brother came back from Germany in one of them and I was involved in stripping the radios etc. from them when the air force sold them.

:-/ Both are from David Maltby, and has inside a *.bat in orther for you to select what type of compression do you want ,like dtx1,2or 3

the moldels I have are the DH106 Comet 4C and DH106 Comet 4C RAE I did have to fix the panel
or do you mean other model, I didn't find the comet 4B but isn't it the same thing? ,the one I have comes with 12 diferent repaints all of them works fine ,the landing and taxi light are good ,I don't know you tell me..

Al. There is a dh106 4b model. Go to www.dmflightsim.co.uk and you will find all of Davids models. The repaint I have trouble with is of the Royal Canadian Air Force repaint by Ed DesRoches if you do a search at flight sim you will find all of his repaints and sceneries. Hope this helps.

After I made a Long..Looooooong searching and investigacion I find your ed-47.zip (canadian forces ) and also I discover that indeed there is a dh106 4b wich Ive download it too , BUT is for FS2000-2002 Its imposible to make it work in fsx..

Anyway the model 4c is the same model but exported for fs2004 ,I'll see if I can Addapt the textures from the fs2002 to the 4C ...Ill be back 8-)

I just downloaded both files to check them out. COMET_4B_20071209.zip posted HERE is for FS2004 & even has the thumbnail.jpg in the Texture folders for the FSX menu.

There's no point in me trying it as this type of display problem will depend on your video card, OS & which version of FSX you're using. I suspect you're right about the texture format.

Ok Doug ,I just download it ,Is recenly upload it ,even seems to be made for working in FSX ,I already tested , The proble is this Canadian airforce texures has diferent names ,I'll re-name AGAIN and you alb469 Download the Newer version of 4B meanwhile I'll work in the texture and CFG ,in orther to send you these files via Email..Ok?

OK, I see it now. The RCAF repaint was obviously done for an earlier version of the Comet 4B which is no longer available.

It can't , he made a entire remap from the FSDS , it has diferent names and diferent maps ,All I can do alb469 is to send you the 4C (wich I don't see any diference ) by email

I doubt any repaints of the new version are available yet. It's only been been released for a few days. Your modified 4C would be the best we can do.

We should make a Team you know like texture issue fixers from other Members

Thank you both for your trouble.Al I sent you a PM. The difference between the B and C is the B did not have the external wing tanks while the 4 and 4c did. I forget now why.
