River Thames in FSX SP2

Postby ThePilot_Ace » Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:45 pm

Hi, I have FSX Acceleration and I noticed that the River Thames bug has reappeared. The terrain (which are not bridges) cross the river.. this was fixed in SP1 but has now come back in SP2. Anyway to fix this?

Aces confirmed they screwed upon that one and allowed old data to slip into the area

yes, there is a fix but all it does is cover the rocks with water. You must use the fixed terrrain.cfg file which was released for RTM before SP1 to get rid of the rocks and cover them with water.

Search the file library for terrain.cfg fix but be aware it should only be used to edit in the right areas of the terrain file and NOT completely overwrite the file or SP2 and other add-on changes will be removed.

I do not have time to research and post the exact line tweaks but will look into it when I get time this weekend.
