I too am using this driver and would have to recommend it over the 169.09 and 169.13 betas, which caused severe stability issues on my pc. They also really screwed my FS, as something to do with "Video Shader Caching" (I think), was activated, and could not be turned off on my motherboard. The shader issue caused several modules to fail in FS9 and FSX, preventing a flight from even loading.
Basically, I too say try these drivers, and would recommend them highly. However, the betas may be just as good if not better for some.

As I recall it was not just the beta's but you also had this happen after removing the drivers completely, and, installing the official release
At least that is what you posted and as I understood it.
When it comes to drivers every system can be different with respect to chipsets, motherboard drivers, motherboard electrionics, different release versions of the same cards and motherboards, the list goes on and on
The 169.21's were a real problem however I was aware the .25's reparied several issues including missing screen resolutions. The reports I was getting on the 25's were they provided no difference in anything other than bug fixes and I did not install them myself.
They are getting ready to go to WHQL (posibly with the 25's) and if they do, nvidia will most likely implement the final upgrades/fixes to them so I decided to wait. They are still missing some features WHQL drivers must have to get that cert.
Its always best right now to try the latest release drivers, especially with Nvidia because they are spitting out drivers sometime 2 releases a week now in trying to plug holes in their cores.
