Tanker Air-To-Air

Postby thomasnc41 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 5:19 am

While practicing carrier landings in the "Missions" part of FSX, I climbed almost straight up after leaving the carrier.

I rather doubt that it is. But if you can it should be in the brieffing part of the mission because I would imagine that you will need to press a key in order to activate the simulated fuel transfer. I have not even looked at the missions so I am not sure. 8-)

On another forum, I have seen a guy that was testing the same mission.
He reported that after staying close enough to the Tanker, his fuel was increasing slowly, 3% per 3%. The other members could not reproduce the case at the time I read it, though...

PLEASE DO NOT LINK IMAGES. AS STATED IN THE SIGN-UP PAGE THIS IS NOT ALLOWED AT SIMV, THEY SLOW THE FORUMS DOWN FOR OTHER USERS. PLEASE UPLOAD ALL IMAGES TO THE SIMV SERVER IN FUTURE.

There is a control in FS that allows you to increase your fuel but the push of a button. It takes 3 seconds to completely refuel but its there.  I'm pretty sure the command is "Increase Fuel" or something like that.

I haven't noticed it anywhere in freeflight but then I don't think the compass is available when in freeflight.

Hey Tom,

To answer your question yes you can refuel with a tanker in fsx!!!
How to do it: Proceed to one of the wings and press shift x be careful not to hit the wing.
good luck and happy flying guys.

I remember way back, when Janes EA existed, in F-15 Strike Eagle you could do mid air refueling, where you have to hook up to the boom and everything.  Why can't FS do this?  And why can't Janes Information group sponsor a good combat flight sim anymore?

I miss F-15 :'( .  The detail, the accuracy, the flat out fun it was.
