:) Thanks a lot Brett, I'll follow your advise..practice starting with the small Robinson as you said, also I think must be this yoke, won't help, I'll see if I can connect my old joystick ..

Cheers

Alex

Indeed, practice.
In the beginning I used a landing zone 2 - 3 times a soccer stadium ;D

The choppers are a little harder than they are in real life with full realism. Try setting your realism slider to about 75% - 80% instead of full and the helicopters will behave a lot more like the real thing. Also keep your joystick sensitivity full and deadzones as small as possible. Turning the sensitivity down will actually make the helicopters harder to fly. Another trick is to fly with only your fingers on the joystick. Don't grab it with your whole hand like you would flying an airplane. Also don't use a lot of collective. Use the collective to get up in the air and pitch forward a little to get moving. Once you are moving at 25-30 kts. use pitch to control climb, descent and the collective to control speed. Reverse when landing.

Oh and like the others said. "Lots and lots of practice".

try using locked spot view when landing. that way you dont get a screwed up perception of up and down and altitude

Even experienced helicopter pilots have a hard time with the FS2004 choppers. Real helicopters are very hard to fly however. Just not as hard as the FS2004 helos. It's been said that it's like trying to balance a basketball on top of a tennis ball.

I've always found the Bell easier than the Robinson.

Got to agree, I can fly both but the Bell seems a little more responsive than the Robinson....  Suppose its a personal thing though.
