Altering Sound Volume makes display white

Hello,

I have an HP keyboad that has two volume level keys and when I use these keys to increase or decrease the volume level when I am flying the display goes white for like a second and the comes back.

When I first installed FSX I did not have this problem, after I installed Acceleration I did not have this problem.  This problem did not start until after I uninstalled Acceleration and FSX and then reinstalled them.  After that I uninstalled both again and installed FSX and still have the problem, installed Acceleration and the problem is still there.

Any ideas of what I can do to fix this?  I do not have an addon sound card so there is no sound card to go into FSX and choose.

Regards,

Rod

Acceleration changes the key assignments to the keyboard.. you should have answered yes to change those assignments when the sim was booted the first time

Nick, I did chose yes for the key assignments.  Key assignments are not the problem, the increase/decrease volume keys work.  I also do not think that this has anything to do with video drivers, like I said it worked fine and then I uninstalled FSX and Acceleration and when I reinstalled that is when this problem showed up.

Thanks though for the input.

Best regards,

Rod

For anyone who maybe interestrf I found a fix for my problem.  This only happens in full screen mode, I like to have the start button visible on the lower left corner and I like to have the red exit button visible on the top right, when I am running with those buttons visible everything works great, just like it did before and before I was running the sim with these buttons visible.
