Ok got a 2 peice question here.

1. Does anyone know of a nice mod that makes the aircraft lights look more realistic? The nav and strobe lights look very bubbly like FS9, but there were a couple great mods for this issue in FS9 (I think it was Nicks light fix or mod or something). I have not seen any for FSX yet. HELP please!

2. Is ther any software or mod that makes the weather in FSX change at random, like halfway through your flight from KPHL to KLAX you hit a major thunderstorm, but you had sunny skis an hour ago. Any advice would be grately appreciated.

2. use real world weather and you will get more change as you fly. make sure you have "Download Winds Aloft" enabled in the settings...  but remember it is based on whats really happening. You can also use ASX which is another weather engine that connects to real weather information and is a bit more comprehensive than the default.


As for changing by itself there is nothing I know of that allows you to program weather changes other than entering the weather from the menu during flight and making the change yourself.

For the second question, as Nick said it is best to use the Real Weather.

However, my personnal advise would be the following:
- first, set real weather without automatic update.
- then, set the weather modification frequency to Medium.

This will give you some nice piece of weather when you start, and then while you're flying you will get ramdom weather modifications including huge storms or perfectly clear weather. I personnaly use this feature everytime I fly, I used it already with excellent results in FS9, and noy in FSX as well.
