Acceleration problems...

When I'm flying, sometimes (not always), when I'm on VC, the game stops, and after some time, a screen saying "A fatal error has ocurred", with the MS Error Report style, but I've seen to figure that this happens ONLY on Accel. new planes. It's not hardware related as I've just confirmed it.
Also, when I exit FSX, by the Main Menu, or In-Flight, the process stays on, occupying up to 500megs of memory.
These errors started just after I installed Acceleration.

You just answered your own question.

It's not DX10 related, I'm running under XP Professional.

Ok, I have the GeForce 7900 GS with the following driver
84.40.
Do I need to update it and do I need to uninstall that NVIDIA Drivers item in Add/Remove Items?
Thanks

That driver is about a year and a half old now! Head over to nVidia and download the latest driver for your system. Once you have it, just run the executable and it will handle it all.

Still waiting for some fix... The first time I've got that error, was right after I installed Acceleretion, on "first-run", and my settings were low at thet time. Now I've tweaked my FSX, and set everything, except autogen to Maximum, but I'm still having the "Fatal Error" report box, and I've figured that it isn't only on Accel. planes, but all planes.
About the graphics driver: I'm a hardcore gamer, I always update my drivers...

I would suggest you uninstall FSX completely and start over. This time use this install routine:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 4384/15#20 and follow it to the letter. Do not install any add-ons and retry the acceleration aircraft.

If you are still crashing then it is most likely hardware related because that post will also direct you through a link to the correct drivers and how to set them and Nhancer up.
you never mentioned any of your hardware so I can not say if you have some type of conflict or not. You seem to be confident you know all about your hardware and drivers so I wil assume you do have them set up correctly
as for exiting, do you mean you still have the GUI on the desktop or completely closed FSX?
It will occupy that much memory, and more if you have a lot of add-on planes, with just the main FSX menu booted.
I've already re-installed the original game before installing Acceleration... I've did it all in that order, except I've installed SP1 before Acceleration.
The exit bug happens when I exit FSX by the standard way (Clicking the X on the GUI, or Exit on the In-Game menu), and it doesn't matter how much I wait, I have to kill fsx.exe proccess.
About the hardware... I've assembled my PC on my own =P. There are no conflicts at all, and all the drivers are the latest ones (not beta ones).

I think you answered you own question
Start over and this time do not install SP1 before Acceleration. It installs SP1 which was reconfigured for a SP2/Acceleration install
Follow the list posted
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 97380641#1and then upgrade the drivers to the betas for FSX SP2
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 97382773#2good luck
If you are still having problems post back
And by the way, make sure no AV is running during install or FSX flight. Many of them are known for causing all sorts of problems. The only one not reported to create issues is NOD32
