Ok I have installed FSX, woohoo! But I have to say that I am not that impressed, so I am wondering if i am doing something wrong. I was a die hard FS9 flyer for some time I was in love to say the least, but I have anew rig and now I can handle the demand of FSX! But, just like FS9 the default planes suck!!! the textures are weak like FS9, I thought the planes would look better, I even have acceleration installed! could someone post some screens of their FSX expirence? Or explain to me what I am doing wrong. I have seen beautiful movies on youtube of FSX, but I am not seeing the same beauty when I play. Last , but definetly not least, I though FSX had animated gates, I have yet to see this.......HELP PLEASE!!!

Firstly post your specs. Next have you done a defrag? If no then do one. I'd suggest using O&O Defrag. Do a space then a name defrag. If you can't get it, then you'll have to just run the windows one. Next check out the sticky, it links to a few good tweaks. After that give it another go. Oh, also play with all the settings to see if you can get a better look.

I bough FS9 a week after came out, in 2003 and two weeks after I register on SimV's Forum, the best ...But about FSX the first day I instaled the Demo version in a pentium III ,I was deeply impressed, aaand everytime I Open this software even yesterday when I put the default fs9 b777 into it,I get impress,of how even change its flight Dynamics for good  :o

I think you have to give FSX more time and see the diference  8-)

The Baron and Caravan are greatly improved models.. The Goose, and ESPECIALLY the Beaver are better than payware.. The F18 is nothing short of amazing..

It sounds like you have a hardware or driver

Jet ways are activated by pressing crtl + J . Make sure you are in correct position. If you think back remember how you had to fine tune FS9 to get it where it now is. Well FSX is no different. And just like FS9 some of the scenery in FSX is not that great, only the major cities look great. Once you start putting the add ons FSX will really stand out. I started out with ACTIVE SKY X and Graphics X This helped out allot. You use graphics X  to choose what you want in the way of clouds and themes to display different scenes .
And Active Sky X is for real world weather It really does recreate the actual weather of each location as you fly along. It works best when you load a Flight plan into it as it will down load weather from stations closest to each weigh point along your route.  8-)
