Hi All,
Firstly thanks for allowing me to sign in here, I hope to make many new friends, I have had a browse around the site and what I saw was very good, interesting and helpful, hence the reason for signing up.
So to my first problem I have downloaded some aircraft addons and read the readme file which tells me to put the files into the following folders, FSX / Simobjects / aircraft,

I have Xp and I usually click on My computer>Local Disk>Program Files>Microsoft Games>Microsoft FSX>SimObjects>Airplanes

Go to Disk C and go to program files then microsoft games then flight simulater x then simobjects folder then go to aircraft folder then drag the plane file you downloaded there and it should work

i see the problem.  You've been looking for the AIRCRAFT folder.
Its actually AIRPLANES.  

ps.  if its a chopper, stick it in the rotorcraft folder:)

Thanks to all those who replied, my problem is solved, after re-installing yet again the folders have now been placed in the main folder, can't think why this did not happen earlier, maybe just one of those computer glickes.
