What level of AA and aniostropic filtering....

Anyone know what level of AA and aniostropic filtering the in-game options use?  Since I can't enable AA and AF through the Nvidia control panel when using DX10 preview, I was wondering what level the game uses.

When I'm flying, I have the AA and Filtering Maxed. Doesn't seem to hurt the FPS too much.

What does AA stand for?

It stands for Anti-Aliasing. It remove "jaggies" from images, and should be enabled on your video card, using a tool such as nHancer. Do not enable it in game, it severley reduces performance.

Aniostopic Filtering is used for the sharpness of images. The higher the AF level, the shaper and clearer the image. Again, this should be enable on your video card, not in game.

As an FYI, if you use the DX10 preview mode under Vista, using you video cards control panel or a program like Nhancer to enable AA and AF won't work.  The only way AA and AF work in DX10 mode is if you enable them in the game.  That's why I've switched back to DX9 under Vista.  I can control the level of AA and AF and get amazingly higher frames per second.  I'm actually amazed at the performance difference between DX9 and DX10.  DX9 averages at least 10 fps higher.
