Hello there,
Does anyone know if there is any Gauge Removal or Cleaner utility that scans FSX for unused gauges to remove?
I know that there use to be some for older versions like FS98 and FS2K, but that was a long long time ago

I have not heard of one as of yet. I must caution you some of these programs were bad about removing .CAB files simply because of the TYPE .CAB instead of .GAU. With FSX just about all of the gauges are .CAB files the easiest way to clean up gauges is to put them inside of the panel folders of each aircraft. That way when you delete a aircraft you remove the gauges as well. 8-)
