hello people. ever since i installed accelleration i have been getting whiteouts. i havent been able to come up with any solutions. i was flying online the other night with a friend, and he experienced the same thing. we both have different video cards, different motherboards, different everything so i doubt its a hardware issue. one thing that worked for us both was turning off lens flare, light bloom and reflective textures. some people have said that turning off cockpit tools would do it, but it didnt. the only thing we have in common, is that have both installed the new runway lights, and nicks sunfix program. both awesome programs. i am going to try uninstalling these 2 and see what happens.has anyone else experienced this. let me know.   :)

My lightfix, if that is what you are referring to for airport lights, was not designed for FSX only FS9 and I have said not to use it in FSX. I have an FSX version coming soon with much better lights including new landing lights which adds them to all the default aircraft including Acceleration. I also corrected the light positions for all the defalt aircraft which were very poorly placed.

The sun I can not see as causing the problem although the new SP2/DX10 API is new to me so it is possible. I did make sure the textures met the specs for SP2 before releasing so I do not think that is the problem. Let me know if it goes away. I am getting a whiteout issue which dod not start until I installed the 164.09 beta drivers, but, it only happens if I drop to the desktop and then when I re-enter the sim I get a white screen. The sim is running because I can hear the audio and I can control the throttle but the screen is washed out. It also does not happen every time I drop to the desktop, just intermittently and it did not start doing that until I installed the latest beta drivers.

Sometimes I can just drop to the desktop and back and it clears up, other times I have to reboot the sim.

I used to have blackouts. After unchecking the "cockpit tools" box (if I remember correctly), now I only get the blacked-out sections if I click the "sectional button". Acceleration sent my system back to FS98. I knew I didn't really like the planes or the missions before I bought it, but I figured that SP2 would possibly clear up some issues. Acceleration is a "strike out" in my opinion.

Hi have same problem. Panning view is when white outs are really troublesome. seems more active with non default aircraft. don't think its a driver or setting problem. Have tried everything sugested in forums to no avail. Check Microsoft support pages, no help at all. >:(

I too get the white-outs.  I've never had Acceleration installed, so don't think that's the only cause.

Ok well lets run down the list...

Whats the OS everyone is running?

If Vista is this DX9 and 10 doing this or just one version?

What viceo card is being used?

What driver revision?

Do you have ALL the lastest OS patches from Windows update AND do you have the lastest DX update

DX update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
