whats with the haze in the real world weather, everywhere ive been ive seen it and its been extremly low, I was in approach into Baltimore-Washington its ceiling was 1000 Ft. Is it left over smoke from the California Wildfires, (i live in Colorado it was hazey for a couple days cause of smoke)

That is possable, if that is the only place you see it that is more than likely the case. I just recently bought  ACTIVE SKY X and X Graphics and flew to San Diego and there was plenty of smoke to be seen.
But using the FSX default schems it might only show up as haze.

My cieling is almost laways at about 3k. it's quite annoying.

one thing about "real world weather" is that FSX bases it on real weather reports.

not a big deal until you consider the following...

Numerous times while on approach to DFW the ATIS is broadcasting 4 miles visibility and 1,000 overcast when in reality we have had the airport in sight at 6 or 8 miles and the sky condition is really more of a 1500 - 2000 foot scattered to broken layer. - the ATIS report was something like 50 minutes old. because these updates typically come once every hour, the weather in FSX might vary significantly from what you actually see out your bedroom window.

several times when approaching airports, the weather turned out to be much better than reported like this.

Also, large metropolitan areas like Dallas, Chicago, New York are high pollution zones. for example... on a high pressure day when the weather is clear with unlimited visibility i can depart my home airport which is about 130 miles away from Dallas and i can climb to 2 or 3 thousand feet.... everywhere i look the sky is a beautiful blue color except when i look toward Dallas there is a very sharp and defined dome shaped haze perhaps 30 - 50 miles in diameter. i see this same thing frequently when approaching large cities on clear blue days.
