I was checking out the cfg and it appears to be the demo one. I never had the demo installed and it is supposed to be the deluxe edition.I looked under the terrain section after reading about it in tips and tweaks. Commoner described mine as the demo version. Does the fsx cfg work the same as the fs9 cfg  where you can delete it? I have checked my fsx discs and it says deluxe edition. I am at a loss to explain this. What can I do to correct this.

Yes, just delete it and it will create a new one.  Did you ever activate the FSX program with Microsoft?  It only allows so long to do it and then renders it like a demo afterward......
