Small ATC Problem

most of time when im flying an IFR route in a airrliner ill have autopilot on and ill be at my assigned altitude but the tower says im 300 below when im at the corect altitude cant figure out why it wont work right

Are you (re)calibrating your altimeter frequently to assure it is set to current conditions? (B to auto calibrate)

Also above 16,000ft/FL160 (I believe this is correct, don't get that high often

I don't know if it's a universal, but if I remember right, it's 18,000/FL180 here in the US...

...I stand corrected... :-[ ...the TA (Transition Altitude) in the US is 18000 ft., as Esselbach states.

Though it varies throughout the real world, I believe that in the sim 18,000 ft. is universal.
