Usually, that means your video card isn't up to the task or something...Someone else had that problem a few months ago and they were told their video card was not keeping up :-/ :-/
On a lighter note, I love the first shot 8-)

I would agree with you but the card is almost brand new, and it used to run like it does in the 1st shot all the time :-/ I think it might have some thing to do with the Shockwave P-40 but if I uninstall it I lose it, because to reinstall they want you to enter a key code that expires 72 hours after you buy it

Is there a control assignment that reloads the scenery in FSX? I didn't know about this until a few days ago...Try assigning a key for that and give it a go

If that doesn't work...NickN or someone more experienced than me will help out

:-/ :-/

there is a key function to reload the scenery but you have to assign it first to what you would like it to be(mine is set as crtl+F12)
hope this helps

Try lowering scenery complexity slider, and bufferpools, if that doesn't work lower AI settings, and turn off ground detail texture. You can also try opening fsX.cfg and lowering TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=X value to 40. AND/OR lowering LOD radius to 3.5.
You only have 512mb of RAM, therefore I think it would be wise to lower autogen too.

Happens to me if I slew to a new location thats a few miles away... My aircraft will be sitting there and all the textures will be really blurry until they load up.

I have tried reloading the texture and if its paused it will look like #1 until you un-pause it then it happens all over again, as for lowering the ai, I already have all the ai turned off, I noticed after installing the Shockwave P-40 but how could an aircraft mess-up the scenery :-/ :-?

One thing's sure - and I know little but I know this - you need more ram. It isn't too expensive.... get yourself a total of two GB and things should look much better. Even 1GB is not enough. Why performance is 'decaying' is a question though. Maybe your comp hasn't been defragged for a while = run spybot, adaware and a few defrag passes and that might help.

I agree with Krigl - get extra RAM and it is the cheapest upgrade of them all.
However I have also found that I need to have Trilinear filtering set in the game and on the card Anistropic to 16x. Also I keep Antialiasing set on the card.
I mention this, as I was getting 'arrival blurries" or late onset blurries ....sounds like a medical condition...and after making the changes as above I have not had them even during or at the end of flights of more than 2 hours.

I was the one who posted the same question a few months ago(all though with out the great screenshots). I have a 7800 GS (about the best agp card you can get) and 2 gigs of great ram. The only way I have found to help it, is to limit my amount of add ons. As soon as my FSX folder gets large I start having this problem. It doesn't seem to be any one add on. I did notice that when I install FS global it happens more frequently so i am curious if it has something to do with detailed mesh and the large file sizes. I have just bought FS Genesis mesh for North America and am going to expierement with that and see if I have the same problem. It is very frustrating. I have noticed that people with pci express cards seem to have this problem allot less often than people with AGP. It could be the video bus speed that is killing our textures. I am trying to figure it out as I am not in the position to buy a whole new system and I am maxed out with what i can do with my current one.
What video card are you using? What is your processor speed?

Have you changed any Driver settings recently? Did you try the things I suggested earlier? I am 100% sure this is out of Vmemory issue. Used to happen to me in fs9 when I would attempt to turn all settings maxed out w/ UT.
Try deleting fsX.cfg and let it rebuild itself. You may of changed an entry that messes everything up, or many an addon even did...?

No, that would make it worse.

Happens to me too, but I believe I have a top notch computer. AMD 6000+, 8800 GTS 640mb, 2 GB DDR2 RAM. Nothing works for me, so I've learned to live with it. But if anyone has any answers, please tell me. I would love to make mine look like #1 all the time.

Yes, Slotback I tried your ideas to, it stays somewhat like #2 now, but I have reinstalled my vid card drivers, but the odd thing is this started happening a week ago and I haven't added anything new to FSX for a few weeks, so why all of a sudden :-? And i use to get it to look like #1 all the time with no problems. Its like my computer is trying to kill off FSX

[edit]I am getting 1 gig of RAM soon, but I can't get 2 because I'm poor
