Float planes jump

I think there is a fix for this but I can't find it. The Beaver on floats and the Grumman Goose both jump in and out of the water while taxing or taking off. I have FPS set at 20. If anyone knows the fix I would really appreciate it,  if you could give it to me.
Thanks

It may be because of the part of the water you floating on.
Try another lake, or somewhere in the middle of the ocean, and tell us if they jump again.

There are two possible causes for jumping aircraft on the water, a far as I remember:
- the water is not "deep" enough... that may sound stupid but it happens, on some places, it seems that the aircraft touch the water AND the ground at the same time. Happened to me in Swiss not far away from Alpnach Mill I think.
- the contact points of the plane are not defined well in the aircraft.cfg. This will not happen with a default plane.

The jumping float plane issue can be resolved by setting the "Mesh Resolution" to 1m.  :)

Yes they were both default aircraft and it didn't matter where I went, it still jumped. I set the Mesh resolution to 1M as instructed and that curied the problem.
Thankyou all for your help, now I can go flying and not get bounced out of the seat.
Thanks again

I've noticed the same thing with the pilotable ships out there i've tried cranking the mesh but sitll it happens, to the point that any aircraft on deck would be tossed into the air. I found a file on avsim that gives a more detailed surface and seems to remove the "MS Bounce". the file in case anyone is interested is "fsx2xwater"
