That "Thump-Bump" Sound

Ok, now it's time to ask the experts! In my FSX, many of my helicopters (both FS9 and FSX versions)produce a continuous and annoying "thump-thump-bump-bump" sound when they're on the ground or after landing. It never happens with any fixed-wing aircraft, just the choppers. I've tweaked and swapped sound files but still no joy and the problem continues. Anyone know what might be causing this and if so have a cure?
Regards and Many Thanks in advance,
Nigel

Random thought, not sure if this will solve your problem. Have you tried updating to the latest driver for your sound card?
I've not experienced this, but those are my initial thoughts.

All is updated and current. I'm now starting to wonder if an add-on I installed might be causing it. I'll do some more investigation while I wait for some more possible answers.

It's not a driver issue.
Mostly you have Thump -Bump with Huey choppers and after checking sound.cfg and files I think it's the tochdown sound running in a loop.
If it is caused by the model ( choppers are still moving a little bit even the engine is set to idle ) it should stop after shut down.
Oh, a helicop, chop, chop, chop the carrot said :-?

Cheers UU! I think you're right. After some more "sound" investigation, I found that it is in all the Huey models. Yes, the "thump-Bump" does stop after shutdown. Anyway to remedy it or should I just eliminate the touchdown sound (remedy without eliminating the WAV file would be better, but if I have to dump it, I'll dump it)?
Thanks,
Nigel

I've found out that all choppers that use Huey Sound Files that have the "t1" Wave File in them will produce the annoying "thump-Bump" sound. I've eliminated all "t1" Wave Files from all of my choppers that had it in their Sound Files and now problem solved!
