All the XML gauges from FS9 will work in FSX.
Only some of the GAU gauges from FS9 will work.

Thanks. I guess it will be try them and see if they show up and work. Unless there is some way to look in the fs9 gauge and see what ones are xml.

The FS9 default XML gauges are all in CAB format which makes them easily recognisable. Some 3rd party XML gauges are configured in ordinary folders.

I'm not sure if this is necessary for the latest version of FSX but if you have FS9 paste a copy of msvcr70.dll into the FSX root directory folder. This should also make most of the FS9 default GAU files compatible with FSX.

For ".gau" files, right click on the file, select "Properties" and the "Version" tab, then look at the
"Description"  entry. If it says "Flight Simulator 98 Gauge"it will NOT work in FSX.

Gauges for FS2002 and, I believe, CSF2 will work in FSX.

I suggest you stop the FSX business and go back to FS9  :P
