Addon Planes

Guys i was wondering, if i go to the downloads section and pick a plane i would like to download, is that all i need, or can someone talk me through the process install etc.

I would say that 90% of the aircraft will have a "readme" file, or a file titled "installation" once you have unzipped it. Just read it through and follow the instructions step for step. Some aircraft come with an installer. All you have to do is click on it and it does the rest, though you will have to tell it where your FSX is installed. Download a couple of small files first to get a feel for it. Each author approaches the installation instructions a little differently from the next, but the basic moves are the same for each aircraft.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

If you go through the Download section for example here in Simviation.com, you will notice two types of downloads for planes:
- full planes
- repaints, that is textures only for a plane that you downloaded before.

It is a real shame that full planes and repaints are not separated in the download section. However...

I think someone's should care about the FAQ, it's pretty incomplete right now, don't you think ?
