Dual joysticks?

Has anyone used two USB joysticks on FSX and if so, how did FSX recognise the two and how did you assign axis to each?. I primarily want to fly helicopters and want to use one for the cyclic (x,y) and modify another for the pedals (z) whilst using the throttles on each for the engine rpm and collective respectively.

I'm trying to create as realistic environment as possible and standard pedals do not feel right hence the need to modify a second joystick.

I already have a Saitek Cyborg stick which does all the axis but obviously is not realistic.

TIA.

It should work.  I've had my Cougar, an X-52, and my pedals all hooked up at once, doing different things.    In the game you can select different devices and assign different functions to each button and axis.

I have a joystick and gamepad.

I use the gamepad to taxi and the Joystick to fly.

I just plugged em in, loaded the drivers as loading them ensure auto calibration.

I never config. them in FSX, they just happend to work both without hazzles. My gamepad also has throttle controll.

So I guess FSX auto config. as I never touched those settings.

Mouse.

Thanks guys. I didn't want to shell out on another usb stick just to find that FSX can only handle the preferred device alone.

My idea was to make a pedal box, put the second stick inside the box and convert the z axis to pedal control, then make a collective with twist grip to work with the two throttle controls.

I originally wanted to make the full system from 'Steve's helicopter controls' but having two sticks makes life a lot easier.

Thanks again.
