It might be possible but fairly complex. You would have to set the winds, precipitation, visibility and pressure at each different station around a given area, with stations in the center having conditions for the eye, and stations outside of the eye having the conditions such that the winds blow in an anti-clockwise direction around the center.
Alot of work if you ask me.

It does seem like alot of work. Anyway, most pilots try to avoid hurricanes if they can. :-? But, it would be neat to see.

ActiveSkyX claims to reprouduce hurricanes that are pretty lifelike. There are some storm studyers that fly right into em.

Also note that there are no weather stations off shore and once a hurricane moves onto land it's strength diminishes quickly. I haven't tried it in FSX but FS9 severely limits wind speed so that only a minor hurricane is possible. As noted above Active Sky helps. Some time back I saw a post here at SimV about a site that uses Active Sky and FS9 to simulate the NOAA hurricane hunter missions. You might try a search of the FS2004 forums and see if you can find that link.

There are plenty of weather stations at sea. I forget the agnecy that monitors them and they don't provide huge amounts of data, only winds, rain, humidity etc. AciveSky gets data from thwese stations at sea to formulater weather out there.
