Does anyone have a download link for Flight Simulator X, not the Service Pack 1 but the original one. I accidently bought the add-on for Flight Simulator X and 2004 and I don't have neither of them.

So a link for either one would work. PLEASE!!!

What part of "no piracy" is so difficult to understand

Well JB it's simple. You see the only reason they wouldnt think 9of doing it in a store is because of the high risk of getting caught. You have a physical item with security deviced on it that you need to get passed every store employee, electric scanner, and customers. If said person dl it online he does not need to worry about any of that. His chances of getting caught are much less likely and takes far less effort. Also people seem to associate value with physical product, when they dl something it looses value to them because it is not a physical item. Get my drift?
Im not sure if this guy was a hardcore pirate trying to play stupid to try and play us or maybe he was an unknowing guy tjhat got himself in a jam. I think instead of banning him we could informed him that the FS software was not open source abnd not redilly avalible for download. Explain to him why having an expansion dosen't make him the owner of the full copy.
Now im not supporting piracy so don't go thinking that but you might as well ban id say 80% of the SimV comunity because I am sure most users here have downloaded something large such as FSX or something as small as a mp3. Either way it is pirating and is illegal but lets face the cold hard truth here, most people that use a computer for any amount of time have discovered the ways of getting free stuff and do so. It is a epidemic that has spread across the world via the internet and I think piracy will always be an image on the internet of today and tomorrow. It's something a digital developer must fight as much as he can just like any store owner but it will happen and it will happen in larger numbers than most of you think.

What add-on could he have even bought for both FSX and FS2004? Liar, too, I may add.

IMHO, he was banned for attempted piracy, and thus allowing discussion and advocating piracy in a public forum. I might add, we are well supported by a spokesperson from Aces/Microsoft in this forum, and that is not the impression that should be generated. The latter cannot be allowed to happen, the forum would not last long at all as a result. I am very surprised this thread hasn`t vanished now.

Any reputable site cannot condone improper and illegal use of software, and software piracy. Regardless that there are frequent visitors from established software providers, and who those providers are, Simviation, or any reputable flightsim community site should not create an atmosphere where improper use/trading, etc. of content and software, *whether payware, shareware, or freeware* is condoned.
Commercial software, obviously.
But, for example, freeware? Some developers have quit the hobby because their content has been placed in sites other than those they have specified. This is difficult for a site to control, but Simviation takes action when a developer sends an e-mail to the effect that such and such a file has been uploaded a)without his permission, and/or b) containing modifications beyond the developers control. It can be something as simple as uploading a repaint with the complete model, when the developer has indicated that only the textures can be uploaded, not the model (basically, in this case the developer wants to keep control of the actual package/flight dynamics, panels, etc.)
It is the established policy of Simviation not to condone software piracy, *not because Microsoft/ACES are now frequently visiting*, but because it is the right thing to do.

It has been for a long time.
We started enforcing this a while back when we became "aware" of a few things.
