Does anyone know if you can reduce the time the red writing stays on the screen telling you what view and zoom level you are in? If you cant reduce the time how do you get rid of it all together.
Cheers

I would also like a solution to this... it gets a bit annoying when you change view and it just sit there for a couple of hours! ::)

I have found that if you unclick Cockpit Tips, the red view will disappear from your screen faster.
You can't make it go away permantently.

[MAIN]
HideInfoText=1
but that dumps it all (brakes, etc) not just the zoom so if you want just the zoom gone I would have to check the calls and see where that can be edited out.
You can still display frames and other info with the SHIFT-Z function

Aye,
you can use the free program Flusifix also there is no english version for FSX
It's the standart tweaking tool for german speakers.
Or this could help:
FSX.cfg
orginal
[Display]
ChangeTime=4.000000
TransitionTime=4.000000
speedup
[Display]
ChangeTime=2.000000
TransitionTime=2.000000
It speeds up the time betwween different sights/displays, and the display for the zoom
