Homemade missions load in the wrong resolution

Grabbed some home made missions from flightsim.com and having a problem where they load in what seems like the wrong resolution. The compass at the top left of the screen is huge compared to how it normally is, ground textures are blurry, the planes are jaggy and the water is made up of tiles rather than being nice and smooth how it should be.

I did ask over there at the forums, but sadly they seem quite quiet these days to be honest, and I didn't get any help. Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening? Thanks.

I also downloaded some scenery files lately and had the same experiece with one so far.

It does the same, tiles and blurr, doesint matter how I set my setting, eg. Auto Gen Off, No water effects and scenery normal. I still have a problem with them. Heck I had some water on top of a mountain when I loaded the scenery.

But like I say I experienced it with only one namely the one at http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/syb2. ... no_vfr.zip.

I did not fly other scenery's as yet, hoping maybe its just a bug in these files.

Other then that I would also like to know why it happens.

Mouse.

The simple answer is, dont use them

apparently the persons(s) posting these files are not saving and packaging them correctly

FSX is not like FS9 and it will probably be some time before everyone gets on the FSX bandwagon so freeware addons, including aircraft, scenery, etc, are made correctly and do not have issues.
