I currently have fs2004, but I am thinking about getting fsx. Is it true that fsx deluxe only has 45 airports total?

Oh geez, no way! It has more than FS2004 I believe. There are more than 24,000 airports in FSX...

There are 45 HIGH DETAIL Airports but around 24,000+ TOTAL airports in FSX. This is more than FS9 has, I believe...

Yes there are 24,000+ in FSX.

But now I see where you or someone else may have been coming from:

"A deluxe version (USD $69.99) will feature 24 types of aircraft, 38 highly detailed cities, and 45 highly detailed airports."

Like FS9 many of the 24000 are pretty minimal, but like FS9 the freeware and payware is now pouring in.
