First of all, check your spelling.

Then, aircraft go into the SimObjects\Airplanes folder.

Try and find a folder called aircraft exactly the same as FS9 because the craft is for FS9, with FSX the aircraft files name is changd but effects and gauages remain the same so the guages and effects go in thw right spot but the F-22 or any other self installing arcraft for FS9 will make a foler in the directoy C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ Aircraft thats what it will be in :D

Layne, the aircraft folder does not exist in FSX. It is located in SimObjects/Aircraft.

Layne was talking about 'self-installing' aircraft that are desgined for fs9, they automatically make an aircraft folder like this: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Aircraft the fs9 aircraft will be in here, so you copy the aircraft and place it here:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\ Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects/Aircraft.

OK

Ive got this one and its a great download. One gripe I have about it is the afterburner effect. It seems as if the flame is coming from under the engines, rather than from the nozzles. Any ideas on a fix for that?

Nah that is a bug bcause it is made for FS9 in the .cfg however you can change the effect it uses for the burner to one of a diff aircraft like and F/A-18 which might put it in the middle because thats what i did with the iris F-35 because it was doing that.... i guess anything that iris/dsb makes that is for FS9 not FSX that is installed into FSX is going to have that problem except i didn't have the problem with the Mig-29K and F-14  :-?

You can edit the aircraft.cfg file yourselft to position the effect correctly. Just edit it using notepad.
