Sinking through the roofs

Postby sagamol » Wed Jul 11, 2007 2:37 pm

My question is probably not a new one. On default and add-on sceneries, helioports have been a nice addition. To land on them when they are on the ground is almost never an issue, but heliports ontop of buildings, i.e. hospitals, highrises etc is almost never accomplished , because for some reason the aircraft and the spot on the roof are not on the same "level" and the skids in most cases either submerge or the whole aircraft sinks through the roof of the building. i know when i add a scenery, it tells me too add thescenery files in a certain sequence. making sure i follow the right order as they appear in the list of sceneries in the library. i have done this and i still have problems with some sceneries to allow me to land on top of buildings.
Is there a way to correct that ??

thanks for the help.

I think maybe it's just the scenery mesh that's the problem. Did it say the heli pads were landable?

i read the description again and it says they added 350 heliports plus a bunch of other stuff...i was assuming adding them and not be able to land on them would be a waste.
if i change the mesh, would that help?
i am including a URL so you can see what it said,
thanks for the reply

The mesh sliders on the menu? Oh, that's for terrain :P

I meant the scenery model mesh might be the problem. Sorry but there's no way to edit it.

How about you post this topic on aerosoft? I'm sure they can help you more because it's their product.
