Not to sure if this has been asked before but do you only see animals in fsx while on missions or can you see them on free flight also?
I only ask because i've been flying around Kilimanjaro for the past few days trying to spot some but i've not had much luck so far.

I was also rather disapointed with the "mission only" wildlife. I mean they could have added a slider to determine the amount of wildlife we wanted just like they did with road traffic, ships etc.

It's funny how they show all those elephants and giraffes in the box but then when you play you don't see crap lol. I've actually seen a couple of birds though, but nothing more.

Thanks for the replies. I thought the same with the slider to, was thinking I had overlooked an option where you could set the amount of wildlife. Oh well, will just have to try and create some missions to go sight seeing.
I've seen a few birds to but knowing my luck they would be sucked into the engine if I got to close. No such problem with an elephant though although im sure no ones tried. That could be an idea for a mission, trying to fit an elephant into the engine :P

Dolphins? :o
Mab you know it is illegal to fly under the influance?
Mab I also suggest you investigate your plane before take-off, might have a gas leak into your cockpit.
Mouse ;D
That could be where the pink efelumps came from then..... ;)

You can create missions too? Howabout bombing a heard of an endangered hippo?

Additionnaly, if you set your thermal visualisation to "Natural" in the settings, you get eagles soaring into the thermals. They are quite hard to spot, but it's nice to see.
The hit on the frames is surprisingly high, though :-?

Might be worth trying out, to swap the animal files with what's in the ground vehicles folder. Of course, with a backup being made first. Would be neat to see animals pacing along the major roads.
